Improve Your Digestive Health Naturally with Castor Oil Packs

A castor oil pack increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Castor oil has been shown to increase circulation and promote elimination and healing of tissues and organs underneath the skin. It is particularly effective in being absorbed into lymph circulation which can improve digestion, immune function, detoxification, and reduce swelling in injured joints and extremities.


Other benefits:

- regulate bowel movements

- decrease bloating and gas

- improve immune system

- stimulate blood flow and lymphatic system

- detoxify the body


What you need:

- Castor oil

- piece of cloth to cover area being treated (2 cm cloth thickness is best; can also use old t-shirt or thin cotton towel)

- saran wrap or plastic large enough to cover the cloth (plastic bags are okay)

- hot water bottle or heating pad with a low setting


Instructions:

1. Apply castor oil over treatment area

2. Place cloth over area treated with castor oil

3. Place a sheet of saran wrap over cloth (castor oil may stain linens or clothing, and the plastic helps to retain the heat)

4. Place a hot water bottle or heat pad on top of saran wrap

5. Leave on for 20-45 minutes

6. While treatment is being applied, rest comfortable (read, deep breath, meditate) careful not to fall asleep with heating pad on may burn


Alternate Method:

1. Apply castor oil over treatment area

2. Put on an old t-shirt

3. Place a heating pad or hot water bottle over area

4. Let the castor oil soak overnight (castor oil may stain linens or clothing)


** Do NOT use on abdomen during pregnancy or menstruation**
